It’s turkey lover’s month! And, we’re mixing it with one of our FAVORITE foods… burgers! Take all the fat out of your beef burger by substituting turkey. You’ll love these mouthwatering turkey burgers that go well on a toasted bun or lettuce bun! Plus, try our vegan mayonnaise to top it off!
Turkey Burger Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground turkey
- 1 onion; chopped
- 2 cloves garlic; finely chopped
- 3/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 tbs. chili powder
- t tbs. crush red pepper
- 1 portobello mushroom; chopped
Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl and form into patties. Lightly oil grill and cook until patties are no longer pink in the middle.
Spicy Garlic Cilatro “Vegan” Mayo
- 1 cup cashews
- 1/4-1/2 cup cilantro
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 serrano peppers
Soak cashews for 4-6 hours in water; drain and wash. Place cashews in a high-speed blender or food processor with 1/4 cup of water (add more water for a creamier consistency). Mix until cashews are whipped. Then add in cilantro, garlic and serrano peppers and blend until all is blended. Serve on turkey burger, omelettes, etc. Keep refrigerated.
